An alleged notorious and dangerous man who shot and killed a resident of Ayala Friday night, was killed in a shootout with police during a hot pursuit operation Saturday morning.

Ronnie Baylon y Caban, married of Zone 7, Ayala was shot and wounded by Herbert Torralba y Garcia, married, around 10:30 p.m. Friday. He  sustained a gunshot wound in the back of the head and was rushed to the hospital.

Policemen led by Sr. Insp. Karib Muharram mounted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of Roderick Cabayacruz y Cabrera, 32, single of Zone 8, Ayala.

Baylon expired while undergoing treatment at the hospital Saturday morning.

Along with some barangay officials of Ayala, policemen led by Muharram conducted a hot pursuit operation at Sitio Sto. Niño, Ayala to arrest Torralba but the latter resisted by firing his .38 cal. revolver. The lawmen returned fire killing him.

Police recovered Torralba’s .38 cal. revolver during an ocular investigation.

According to the police, Torralba was a dangerous man as he was linked to killings in in Ayala. – Dan Toribio
