HPG-9 seizes 4 vehicles in anti-carnapping operations PDF Print E-mail

Operatives of the Highway Patrol Group-9 recovered four motorvehicles in anti-carnapping operations in Zamboanga del  Sur  last week.
The four motorvehicles were a red Isuzu Fuego, a black Toyota Altis, a white Mitsubishi L300 FB color white and a Toyota Fortuner.

HPG-9 Deputy Chief, Supt. James Ramos, who led the operations reported to Regional Chief Sr. Supt. Romeo R. Uy that the drivers of the four motorvehicles presented  during inspections questionable certificate of registration and other documents.  One of the drivers presented a registratio of another motorvehicle.

Uy directed Ramos to impound all the four motorvehicles in a nearest HPG 9 Provincial Units. Joining the operations were HGP9 Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Unit Chief, Insp. Dexter Diones and team and Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Unit led by Insp. Leopoldo Macalindol and their teams.

Uy also instructed Ramos to bring the Toyota Fortuner to Davao City for macro-etching of the chassis and engine numbers . It was later found out that the chassis and engine numbers of the four vehicles tampered.

Uy also directed the HPG-9operatives to conduct further investigation for the real status of ownership of the four motorvehiciles. — Allen Abastillas
