A truck man died while the driver was injured when a hauler truck carrying hundreds of cases of softdrinks fell into a ravine at Sitio Tuktukalaw, Quiniput last Wednesday night.

City Police Office Spokesperson Sr. Insp. Helen Galvez identified the fatality as Hermy Debusura, 23 while injured was Cerlito Blanca, 28, single, both of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

A police report disclosed that the ten wheeler hauler truck with plate number JAF 419 driven by Blanca with Debusura as truck helper, was transporting Coca Cola products to Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay when reaching Sitio Tuktukalaw, in Quiniput, the vehicle suffered mechanical trouble while negotiating a blind curve along the highway.

The truck lost its brake and went straight into a ravine more or less 20 meters deep.

Debusura sustained multiple injuries in the body and died on the spot while Blanca was rushed to the hospital treatment of bruises.
