A man was stabbed to death by a woman and her live-in-partner during a drinking spree at a videoke bar in Curuan last Thursday night.

Roderick Salvador y Manuel, 37, single of Curuan proper, sustained stab wounds in the body and was rushed to the Cristino Paragas Memorial Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Curuan Police Station commander Chief Insp. Ramon Bautista identified the alleged assailants as Bernadita Manalo y Basilio and her live-in-partner Antonio Sanchez.

A police report disclosed that Sanchez, Salvador and some friends were having a drinking spree at a videoke joint around 10 p.m. when they engaged in a heated argument amid drunken stupor.

Sanchez and Salvador then engaged in a fistfight and Manalo arrived and suddenly stabbed Salvador in the back.

Manalo and Sanchez were arrested during a follow-up operation and were detained pending the filing of charges in court.

Police have readied homicide charges against the suspects.  — Dan Toribio
