Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt. Billy B. Beltran disclosed that his command is expecting the donation of a drone to be used in anti-criminality operations.

Beltran said he can not divulge the names identities of the persons behind the donation.

He said the drone aircraft is equipped with a camera to monitor and photograph  the surface of the region once it is in operations.

“We are going to use it  for anti -criminality operations and against lawlessness,” the regional police chief said.

Beltran is hoping that all roads in remote barangays in the region are concreted so that law enforcers can easily visit and monitor the areas especially when there is report of the presence of lawless elements.

He urged the people in the region and all stakeholders to help the police combat lawlessness.

Beltran pointed out that the police can not solve criminalities and lawlessness if the people in the region will not help them.

“Napakaganda ng Zamboanga Peninsula. Ang appeal ko po sa kanila na magtulungan po tayo na labanan ang mga masasama,” Beltran said. —  Allen Abastillas
