Four male  drug users of Barangay Rio Hondo turned themselves in Friday afternoon to the 901st Maritime Station led by Sr. Insp. Wilfredo A. Abellon thru the Duterte advocacy and in relation to Philippine National Police’s “ Oplan Tokhang”

Two of the users were pedicab drivers and the two were laborers. During their documentation, it was gathered that they voluntarily yielded to the authorities because they are afraid to be caught or arrested worst killed.

Supt. Salbino C. Piad, chief, Regional Maritime Unit-9,  disclosed that he felt sad with the statement of one of the drug users.

Dani, a pedicab driver, told RMU9 troopers that his father taught him how to use the drugs. All of them said that they bought shabu from a known drug pusher identified as Tugpa in Bogo, Sta. Catalina.

After signing their oath, pledging to stay away from drugs, the four users told RMU9 personnel  that they will  not use again illegal drugs and promised to renew their life as a good person in the community. — Allen Abastillas
