A man was shot and killed while asleep with his wife inside their house in Campo Islam at dawn Tuesday while a suspected shabu pusher was shot and wounded at Marcos Drive, Putik last Monday night.

Al Anni y Janani, 46, married and his wife were sleeping inside house when a gunman broke in around 1:45 a.m. and shot him several times.

Anni died on the spot while the gunman escaped without harming Anni’s wife Radzna Jikiri

Men of the Sinunuc Police Station led by Chief Insp. Hingming Chang Ladjaali recovered seven spent shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Police were still tryng to determine the identity of the gunman.

Meanwhile, around 11 p.m. Monday, Freddie Banagudos, a tricycle driver, was shot and critically wounded at Marcos Drive, Putik.

Initial investigation showed that Banagudos was driving a tricycle with plate number JW 3620 when a gunman surfaced and shot him.

Police said they recovered the victim’s a cell phone with a message sent by a certain Weweng saying “Fred si Weweng te saka u 500 entero, pwede?”

Police also recovered a sachet of suspected shabu aboard the tricycle.

Furthermore police said the victim was listed in the drug watch list and was charged before the court for violation of the anti drug law sometime in 2001. He was released after he posted a bail.

Banagudos was rushed to a private hospital for treatment. – Dan Toribio
