Murder suspect nabbed after applying for NBI clearance PDF Print E-mail

The  National Bureau of Investigation-9 has detained a wanted male person  for the crime of murder.

NBI Regional Director Manuel Almendares withheld the name of the murder suspect as the case is already in court jurisdiction.

But according to Almendares, the male person submitted himself  for an issuance of  an NBI clearance because he  is applying for a passport in with the Department of Foreign Affairs 9. But when the issuance officer of NBI clearance section checked his personality and back in the computer, it was found out that he had committed the crime of murder.

Thereafter, the NBI issuance officer informed NBI operatives about the presence of a wanted person who is applying for an issuance of NBI clearance.

Immediately he was arrested by plain clothes NBI officers.

The wanted person has been temporarily detained  at the NBI office awaiting for court order for his commitment to the jail. —  Allen Abastillas
