Men of the Sangali Police Station led by Chief Insp. Chester Natividad recovered shabu from an abandoned car at Sitio Malasugat, Sangali last Friday morning.

A police report said that Natividad and his men were conducting a checkpoint along the highway around 5 a.m. when they spotted a Mitsubishi Lancer with plate number UTH 464 driven by Almaki Lutian trying to evade the roadblock.

Natividad and his men called the attention of Lutian, and while they were having a conversation during which police asked for his driver’s license, he suddenly sped the car going east.

Police chased Lutian until they found the car abandoned at the interior of Sitio Malasugat particularly at the parking lot of a house owned by Mukati Ajail.

Police said that Lutian was no longer inside the case when they arrived in the said place.

During inspection of the car, Natividad and his men recovered two sachets of shabu and several drug paraphernalia.

The car was impounded while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examinations.
