The National Police Commission (Napolcom) announces the conduct of the PNP Entrance and Promotional Examinations on October 23, 2011 nationwide.
The Entrance Examination is the basis for the grant of police eligibility required for initial/permanent appointment to the rank of Police Officer I in the Philippine National Police.

The Promotional Examinations are open exclusively for all qualified uniformed members of the PNP. Those who will qualify and pass in any of the four examination categories shall be considered eligible for promotion to any PNP rank corresponding to the examination’s Eligibility Rank Coverage (ERC). The ERC is the inclusive rank to which the eligibility maybe applied, as follows: POLICE OFFICER (PO) - POI, POII, and POIII; SENIOR POLICE OFFICER (SPO) - SPOI, SPOII, SPOII1 and SPOIV; POLICE INSPECTOR - P/Inspector and P/Sr Inspector; POLICE SUPERINTENDENT- P/Chief Inspector and P/Superintendent.

Civilian applicants for the PNP entrance examination must not be more than 30 years old, at least 1.62 m/5 feet and 4 inches for male / 1.57 m/ 5 feet and 2 inches forfemale, must be a bachelor’s degree holder.

The eligibilities acquired through the PNP entrance and promotional examinations are the eligibilities required for appointment/promotion of PNP uniformed personnel as prescribed under Sec. 30 of Republic Act No. 6975, as amended by Republic Act No. 8551. A proposed appointee must still meet all other qualifications and requirements prescribed therein.

The processing of applications for the aforesaid exams will be on August 15 - September 2, 2011 in Pagadian City and on September 5-16, 2011 in Zamboanga City.
Application forms can be obtained at the NAPOLCOM Regional Office 9, FS Pajares Avenue, Pagadian City and at the NAPOLCOM Satellite Office, Phidco Bidg., Veterans Avenue, Zamboanga City.
