Drug pushers yield 297 blasting caps PDF Print E-mail

Two hundred and ninety seven (297) blasting caps were confiscated from the possession of a suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust operation in Campo Islam last Sunday night.

Chief Insp. Hingming Chang Ladjaali,  Sinunuc Police Station commander, said he and his men conducted a buy-bust operation against Oliver Susulan y Echavez, 37, of Lambayong Drive, Camo Islam that resulted to his arrest.

Ladjaali said when arrested, Susulan yielded 10  sachets of shabu, P200 marked money, drug paraphernalia and 297 blasting caps, prime detonators for improvised bombs .

The suspect was detained at the Sinunuc Police Station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examinations.

Meanwhile, around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, soldiers of the Task Force Zamboanga manning a checkpoint in Kasanyangan accosted Abbas Ibno, 34 and Jordan Bagawi, 26, of Sta. Catalina who were behaving suspiciously.

Soldiers recovered from their possession a .357 revolver with bullets in the cylinder and six medium size sachets of shabu.

The suspects were brought to the police station 11 for investigation and the filing of charges. – Dan Toribio
