Mayor Beng Climaco unveiled yesterday morning the newly constructed police outpost costing the city government P1.2 million in Barangay Tulungatung, west of this city.

The turnover ceremony was spearheaded by Tulungatung chair Jojo Del Rosario and the PNP COMPAC group of said barangay.

In his message del Rosario expressed his deepest gratitude to the city mayor for giving them the police outpost, being badly needed by their community.

The police likewise express elation, saying they had been waiting for a long time for such facility.

“Finally, we can process everything in this police outpost because the equipment are complete and we can already start developing the community about awareness in crime and also the prevention that they can do,” he said.

This is such a good start for their community especially now with the nationwide campaign anti- illegal drugs and the crime awareness by the PNP. This building was processed and approved in the city engineers’ office and the expenses were cleared by the Commission on audit. Hon. Del Rosario said that this police outpost is a symbol that the local government is really helping all the communities in the city including those that are far and in need of security because our Mayor is very much concern about security and peace & order issues in the city.— Ardelyn Ambutong/WMSU Masscom Intern
