Lamitan drug surrenderers now at 2,380 PDF Print E-mail

The Lamitan City Police Office  has counted 2,380 suspected drug users and pushers who have turned themselves since July 1.

Sr. Insp. Jason Ray Z. Gomera disclosed that out of the 2,380, three are barangay officials.

From August 1 to the present, 37 users from Barangay Parang Basak and 21 from Barangay Malakas surrendered to the Lamitan City Police Office.

SPO2  Maria Dolores Oman, chief,  Womens and Children Desk,  also reported that out of the 2,380, 108  users are minors with ages between 18 to 15 years old.

Oman  said that her office also recorded five females out of 108 suspected users. Ofthe five females, three were pushers.

Oman also said that since July 1, there was no report on rape drug-related case. Only two police cases on violence related to women.

Meanwhile, the Commission on Elections Lamitan City Office reported that the city has a total of 45,827 registered voters since the May 9 elections. — Allen Abastillas
