2 alleged Abu Sayyaf gun-for-hire arrested PDF Print E-mail

Two alleged members of the Abu Sayyaf -Urban Terrorist Group and gun-for-hire were arrested in a drug bust operation staged by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-9 (PDEA-9) agents in Barangay Tetuan at noon Saturday.

PDEA-9 identified those arrested as Boboy Sumampil y Ramos alias Eric Carl dela Cruz Cambion/ Boboy/ Ken Sumampil and Nurhaida Saupi y Abdurahman.

The two met with the PDEA undercover agent and agreed to a drug transaction.

The suspects sold a sachet of shabu to the PDEA agent  with a marked money.

Then the suspects were cornered by a PDEA back-up team.

PDEA agents recovered from their possession two more sachets of shabu, a .45 caliber pistol, a magazine loaded with eight bullets, a silencer and some drug paraphernalia.

A PDEA report said the two suspects were members of the ASG/UTG and gun-for-hire operating in the city.

The suspects were detained at the PDEA headquarters while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. – Dan Toribio
