Another drug suspect was killed during a buy-bust operation at Sitio Lumiyap, Barangay Divisoria Friday night.

Ariel Francisco sustained two bullet wounds in the chest and died on the spot.

A police report disclosed that men of the Divisoria Police Station led by Chief Insp. Arlan Delumpines conducted a buy-bust operation around 11 p.m.at Zonta, Sitio Lumiyap in Divisoria targeting Francisco and his brother Jayson.

After the exchange of the marked money and a sachet of shabu with the police poseur buyer, the suspects sensed that it was a drug bust operation. Ariel pulled out a .38 cal. revolver and shoot at one of the police operatives. A policeman returned fire hitting Ariel in the chest twice and killing him.

Police said that Jayson managed to escape bringing along with the marked money.

Policemen recovered a .38 cal. revolver, a sachet of shabu and a samurai sword from Ariel’s possession.

Francisco was the eleventh pusher killed in 10 buy-bust operations since July 1 in the city. – Dan Toribio
