The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Zamboanga City will award companies and offices during their 2016 awards ceremony and appreciation lunch for BSP stakeholders in Zamboanga City on August 30 at the BSP office located at N.S. Valderosa St., Petit Barracks.

Noelle Angela Pamaran, BSP Zamboanga research analyst, baref the awardees as follows: For the Business Expectations Survey (BES) outstanding respondent among large and medium firms will be awarded to Zamboanga City Integrated Ports Services Inc.; BES outstanding respondent among small firms award will be awarded to A.L. Gonzales and Sons, Inc.; Sources of Information-Outstanding Partners for Report on Regional Economic Development of the Philippines will be awarded to the Philippine Statistics Authority 9; and Implementing BSP advocacy on the conduct of public information campaign-outstanding regional partner Zamboanga Branch will be awarded to Ateneo de Zamboanga University.

According to Pamaran, these winners will receive a trophy and the recognition of being awarded by the BSP.

The Business Expectations Survey (BES) outstanding respondent among large and medium firms and BES outstanding respondent among small firms award were chosen by BSP Manila while the Sources of Information-Outstanding Partners for Report on Regional Economic Development of the Philippines and Implementing BSP advocacy on the conduct of public information campaign-outstanding regional partner Zamboanga Branch were recommended by BSP Zamboanga to BSP Manila.

During the activity BSP will be awarding the top respondents for the BES as well as BSP supportive partners where top official of BSP will be the guest of honor.

BES is an economic data which guides BSP on charting the course of the economy that is why the answers of the respondents are very essential.

Answers of these stakeholders will enable BSP to know the kind of policy to formulate to address issues in order to take advantage of the opportunity in the business environment.

The event is also expected to strengthen the partnership between the BSP and its stakeholders in information gathering and advocacy campaigns that will help the BSP carry out its mandate. — R.G. A A. Go
