Here’s good news for frequent fliers! Nothing is more blissful than an airport with free Wi-Fi.

The Zamboanga City International Airport now offers fast and easy-to-access wireless Internet for free, thanks to Smart Communications and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

Mayor Beng Climaco yesterday hailed the launching of free Wi-Fi at the airport as she expressed confidence the facility will further improve the services of the city’s airport.

“This is just a temporary stop as we look forward to realizing our plan for a new international airport complex in Mercedes. In sha allah! Dios quera,” the mayor said, referring to the proposed transfer of the airport to Barangay Mercedes in the east coast.

The Wi-Fi connection at the airport does not require a code or password.
