Sulu-based kidnappers released the wife of a businessman in Jolo last Monday morning, more than two weeks after her husband was freed.
Western Mindanao Command spokesperson Col. Randolph Cabangbang, disclosed that Jocelyn Batronil was dropped by the kidnappers aboard a motorcycle near Moreno’s Clinic downtown Jolo.

Cabangbang said that Jocelyn’s husband Jose Batronil paid P100,000 for her release.
Jocelyn and Jose, engaged in a small business in Jolo, were seized by gunmen at their rented house in Jolo in the evening of July 13, 2011.

Three days later, Jose was released with the instruction to produce P100,000 for the release of his wife..
Jose was able to raise the amount and turned it over to the kidnappers.

Cabangbang added that based on the report of Brig.Gen. Romeo Tanalgo, the kidnappers kept Jocelyn Batronil in a hideout in Panglayahan, Patikul, where marines are on combat operations.

Jocelyn was placed under debriefing and was later was turned over to her relatives. — Dan Toribio Jr.
