Renowned marketing guru Josiah Go of the Mansmith and Fielders Consultancy Inc. will be coming to Zamboanga City on August 15 and 16 to guide local businessmen and budding entrepreneurs find the niche of their products and services in a 2-day seminar workshop at Grand Astoria Hotel.

The program aims to help business compete better in the changing and dynamic market place while earning more profits.
The seminar workshop, dubbed “Entrepreneurship Strategy and Innovation Bootcamp,” is one of the most sought after marketing courses in Metro Manila today.  It introduces innovations in entrepreneurship termed as Innotreprenership in a simple and fun way.

Companies and individuals praised it. Mary Love Siy of Entrepreneur Magazine commented that this course has a very practical approach that entrepreneurs would appreciate. Knowing that entrepreneurs are very hands-on; the program is designed such a way that it will be very interactive. “The best about it though is that it provides immediate feedback on whether your ideas are good or not,” she added.

Go said unfortunately many entrepreneurial ventures have failed. It was good at the start but eventually closed shop. Others ran out of cash because expenditure was not planned well, and worst it created animosity between family members and friends who are business partners.  Some exist to “survive” or run traditionally until competitors from other places and from big companies eat their market share enough to close them down.

But he said entrepreneurship need not be by “Oido”. Patterns of successful enterprises can be taught, and lessons in both marketing and management can be shared.  The direction of one’s business can be set clearly.  The decision to acquire competitive advantages can be attained through innovative approaches and strategies to face challenges, Go explained.

Josiah Go is chairman of five corporations, author of 12 bestselling marketing books and a specialist in market-driving strategy, business model innovation, profit strategy and innopreneurship.  He took advance marketing and innovation programs at MIT Sloan, London Business School, Blue Ocean Strategy Institute (France & New York), Kellogg and Wharton.

He has personally facilitated over 500 marketing and strategy workshops around the Philippines and abroad since 1990.  For pioneering and successfully sharing many educational initiatives, “Joe” was honored as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in 2001, and one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) of the World in 2002 in the field of business education and was awarded by his peers the rare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 by the Association of Marketing Educators. He was also recently accorded the World Brand Leadership Award in 2009.
