Sr. Supt. Debold M. Sinas, Police Regional Office 9 Deputy Regional Director for Operations, graced the culmination of the Refresher Seminar on the Revised Philippine National Police Manual on Anti- Illegal Drugs Operation and Investigation last weekend.

Sinas said after the program all police stations in the region will establish a task group to enforce the anti-illegal drug operations and investigations. The lectures during the seminar emphasized on “Double Barrel”  and Oplan Tokhang  operations.

In Double Barrel operations, drug suspects who yielded to the PNP will be also monitored and checkedto find out they truly reformed and  not using illegal drugs anymore.

“When  drug users and pushers yield to the police and sign a pledge to make good and change their life, it is not yet final, they should be monitored and double checked,” Sinas said.

In Oplan Tokhang, the police will continue to knock the doors of homes in the region where there are suspected drug pushers and users so that they will  surrender to the government.

“We received informations that there are some pushers and users who already pledged and surrendered but still doing illegal drugs and this is the purpose of the seminar,” Sinas said. — Allen Abastillas
