Couple dodges bullets fired by holduppers PDF Print E-mail

A businessman and his live-in-partner narrowly escaped death in a hold-up attempt at Zone 6, Culianan last Tuesday night.

Danilo Ramiliano and Aleli Napalcruz, both engaged in vegetable trading and in retail  store in Putik, were aboard a multicab coming from Bagsakan Center and heading for their residence at Zone 4, Culianan around 10 p.m. when five men aboard on two motorcycles pointed their guns and tried to stop them in an apparent holdup.

The incident at a dimly lit part of Zone 6 in Culianan. Ramiliano did not stop the vehicle and instead accelerated speed as the holduppers chased them.

The couple told the police the holduppers kept on firing at them but Ramiliano focused on his driving.

Some of the bullets hit the tires of the vehicle but Ramiliano continued driving and made zigzag moves to evade the bullets.

The holduppers withdrew when the multicab  was approaching the couple’s  residence at Zone 4.

During ocular investigation, police found several bullet holes on the multicab and several spent shells along the road where the gunmen started shooting at the couple.
