Due to parents’ irresponsibility, a minor died when the concrete wall of a house that was still under construction collapsed on him while he was scavenging for scrap metal to sell in Arena Blanco last Wednesday night.

Pajer Pulalon y Sawadjaan, 10, and his older brother Jaber Pulalon y Sawadjaan, 12, who should be in their house at 7 p.m. in Arena Blanco, were still roaming along dimly lit  areas to pick scrap metal to sell for food when they reached the under construction house of Nasser Majaji, 32, at 3rd Street, in Sibiktul, Arena Blanco and without any permission from the owner, they entered the compound, where Pajer leaned on a concrete wall and scratched his back but suddenly the wall collapsed, pinning him down.

Jaber tried to extricate his younger brother out of the concrete slab but failed.

Pajer died on the spot due to injuries in the head and body.

The house owner was held by the police for investigation and filing of charges.
