A 24-year-old man was shot and killed by one of two motorcycle-riding gunmen at the interior of Bienvenido Drive, Canelar Moret last Thursday afternoon.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, City Police Office Information Officer, identified the fatality as Mushran Hadjirul y Lamsawi, married of Baliwasan Seaside, this city. He sustained bullet wounds to the right front temple, left forearm and left forearm anterior aspect of middle extremities and was rushed to the Brent Hospital where he expired while undergoing treatment.

Police recovered four spent shells, one live ammunition and a deformed slug of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Initial investigation showed that Hadjirul was talking to the gunman who later shot him at close range around 4 p.m. .

Witnesses said that before the shooting,  the gunman and Hadjirul figured in a heated argument after which the former told the latter in chavacano words “sobra ya gat bo,” then he drew a handgun then pumped bullets in to the victim’s head.

The gunman then boarded a Honda XRM motorcycle driven by a cohort and they sped towards Gov. Camins Avenue passing Canelar Moret road.

Police were still trying to determine the identities of the killers.– Dan Toribio
