‘Drug queen’, 9 others fall in latest anti-drug ops PDF Print E-mail

Several persons including an alleged “drug queen” were arrested recently as the anti-illegal drug campaign continues in Zamboanga City.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday, men of the Ayala Police Station led by Chief Insp. Karib Muharram conducted a buy-bust operation in Darussalam, Purok 4, in Recodo resultin in the arrest of Aida Samla y Amil, 49, a relative of Margani Samla alias Bin Ladden, the notorious drug lord who was arrested somewhere in Basilan several years ago. Confiscated from her possession were eight sachets of shabu, P200 marked money and several drug paraphernalia.

Around 1:20 p.m. of the same day, the same team arrested in Recodo Junior Baddiri Tuaraja y Asakil, alias Assunta, 31. Confiscated from his possession was a sachet of shabu and P200 marked money.

Around 5 p.m. day, men of the Sta. Maria Police Station led by SPO1 Benzar Elhano conducted a buy-bust operation in Capehan, Tumaga resultingin the arrest of Roy Lacson y Bartolome, 28, married. Confiscated from his possession were four sachets of shabu, P1,000 marked money and drug paraphernalia.

During interrogation, Lacson told the police that his source of illegal drugs was a certain Ree Troy West of CanelarTambucho,

Around 6:16 p.m. of the same day, the team swooped down in Tambucho Canelar and  arrested West who yielded a medium size sachet of shabu. Also arrested were Alegar Paspasan, who was caught in possession a .45 caliber pistol and David Bentosa, 33. Police recovered P500 and some drug paraphernalia in their hideout.

Around 7:41 p.m. Saturday, men of the Divisoria Police Station led by Chief Insp. Arlan Delumpines arrested Michael Tarroza y Delgado alias Kambal, 19, of Cabato Road, Tetuan during a drug bust operation. Confiscated from his possession were two sachets of shabu and P200 marked money.

Around 9:30 p.m. of the same day, men of the Tetuan Police Station led by Supt. Nonito Asdai conducted a buy-bust operation at Gaganacruz Drive, Mampang resulting in the arrest of Robert Falces y Benito, 24, single, and Elbert Baird y Jimenez, 36. Confiscated from their possession were two sachets of shabu, marked money, empty sachets and drug paraphernalia.

The same team conducted another buy-bust operation the following day around 1 a.m. in Arena Blanco rersulting in the arrest of Michael Asamuddin y Hadjinulla, 32, married. Confiscated from his possession were two sachets of shabu, marked money, two empty sachets and some drug paraphernalia. – Dan Toribio
