Operatives of the City Police Office under Director Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo backed-up by Military Intelligence Group agents arrested an alleged illegal recruiter in an entrapment operation in Tumaga at noon last Thursday.

De Ocampo identified the suspect as Corazon Manuel y Jalon, married, of Masuhud, Tumaga.
A police report disclosed that the MIG-9 fed information to the City Police Office that an alleged illegal recruiter is in the city and was recruiting women to work as bar girls in Malaysia.

Immediately, De Ocampo and some members of the MIG9 with operatives of the Women and Children Section discussed a plan tp arrest the suspect.
A policewoman of the Women and Children Section pretended as applicant together with two other female applicants. Backed up by policemen and MIG-9, they proceeded to the house of Manuel in Tumaga and set up the entrapment operation that resulted in her arrest.

Manuel was brought to the City Prosecutor Office yesterday for inquest.
Meanwhile, De Ocampo disclosed that suspects in six cases of human trafficking and illegal recruitment have already convicted and imprisoned.
He revealed that several other similar cases are still pending in court. — Dan Toribio Jr.
