The remains of the Zamboangueña call center agent who was killed in a hold-up incident in Makati city arrived in Zamboanga yesterday morning.

This as family members continue their call for justice for their slain kin.

The body of Eleanor Gonzales, 24, which arrived via a morning flight. was brought to the home in Guisao where family members grieved.

Mrs. Maria Erlinda Gonzales, mother of Eleanor said that the interment of her daughter will be on February 18 after the last night of prayer.

Eleanor stood as the family breadwinner before she was brutally shot near the overpass in Guadalupe, Makati at around 4am last February 3.

Eleanor had just alighted from a bus coming from Taguig city and was walking towards her workplace when a suspect shot her after taking her shoulder bag containing her cellphone and other personal belongings with cash.

Eleanor sustained a bullet wound in the head and was taken to the hospital but expired on the evening of the same day.

That was not the first time Eleanor was victimized in a robbery incident.

In a previous incident, Eleanor’s cell phone was taken by the suspect while she was walking towards her work place.

Mrs. Gonzales said that the city’s local officials extended assistance for the funeral services, transportation and other expenses and gave a wheel chair for Eleanor’s father.

Mrs. Gonzales also appealed to President Rodrigo Duterte to help give justice to her slain daughter.

She said that she is in favor of bringing back the death penalty.  (Dan Toribio)
