A total of 21 police personnel from the Police Regional Office-9 are facing investigation for various offenses.

All 21 personnel are being investigated by the Regional Internal Affairs Service-9 for a range of offenses and misdemeanours.

Of the 21 cases, more than half are facing drug-related charges.

Other cases under investigation include a violation of RA 9262 or the law against Violence on Women and Children, Illegal gathering and planting of evidence, Serious Physical Injuries against Civilians and Ilegal Arrest.

The cases against 11 policemen facing drug-related charges have already been forwarded to the Internal Affairs Service of Camp Crame.

The drug-related cases were filed by the PRO-9 Regional Investigation and Detection Management (RIAS-9) after evaluating evidence against the erring police personnel.  (Allen Abastillas)
