Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 9 agents arrested four persons in separate operations in Zamboanga and Pagadian cities this week.

PDEA Regional Director III Lyndon Aspacio disclosed that his team arrested two persons in an operation at Canelar Moret at around 6:15pm last Thursday.

The suspects were identified as Albert Daligdig Rojas, 36, single of Cabato Drive in Canelar; and Hailyn Santiago Jupli, 23 years old, single and a resident of Baliwasan Seaside.

PDEA agents confiscated ten pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.2 grams, two cellular phones, several drug paraphernalia and P200 marked money.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Sections 5 (Selling of Illegal Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Attempt or conspiracy,) Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,) Article II of Republic Act 9165 ( Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.)

Meanwhile, two other suspects were arrested in drug operations in Pagadian city last Wednesday and Thursday.

The suspects were identified as Jonaid Maulana aka Aljun, 27 years old, married and a resident of Purok Santan, Poblacion, Dinas and Jinjilani Datuwata y Muyong, alias Nani, 18 years old, single and a resident of Purok Malaumon, Malangas, Zamboanga del Sur.

Maulana was arrested at the City Commercial Complex, Pagadian ctiy at around 8pm last Wednesday when he agreed to sell one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P500 to a PDEA agent.

Agents seized the following from his possession:  a leather coin purse containing eighteen pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one piece straw scooper and a bamboo sealer.

The seized drugs weighed more or less 0.76 grams.

The following day, PDEA operations led to the arrest of Datuwata at the Hilbon Lodge in San Pedro District in Pagadian city after the latter agreed to sell a plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 to a PDEA agent.

Agents seized a black leather wallet containing sachets of suspected shabu, an improvised straw scooper and an improvised bamboo sealer.

The drugs weighed an estimated three grams.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Selling of illegal drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of illegal drugs) of Article II of RA 9165. (Dan Toribio)
