Councilor Teodyver Arquiza is simultaneously serving two suspension orders contrary to just one which was initially reported early this month.

Arquiza is reportedly serving two 90-day suspension orders issued by two judges of the Regional Trial Court starting February 1.

It was initially reported that Arquiza had been slapped with a 90-day preventive suspension order by Judge Grace Bernardo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14.

The preventive suspension started last February 1, barely two weeks after Arquiza finished serving a previous suspension order handed down by Judge Gregorio dela Peña of Branch 12 of the Regional Trial Court.

Arquiza served dela Peña’s preventive suspension order from October 16, 2016 to January 17, 2017.

Yesterday, reports surfaced that Arquiza is serving another preventive suspension order which he also started serving last February 1.

The preventive suspension order was issued by Judge Vera Vergara under whose sala case numbers 33187 and 33189 were raffled off.

The preventive suspension order issued by Vergara is the third suspension order against Arquiza stemming from cases of Graft and Corruption and Malversation of Public Funds filed against the Councilor while he was still Talon Talon Barangay Chairman.

Arquiza, together with Talon Talon Barangay Kagawad Victorino Iballo, was accused of falsifying public documents and misappropriating funds of the Sangguniang Kabataan for beautification and sporting events of the barangay.  (Liza Jocson)
