The Bureau of Fire Protection has marked the first day of Fire Prevention Month with a series of activities to remind residents on the important of fire prevention and safety.

BFP officals and personnel attended a mass at the Pasonanca Church prior to embarking on its daily line up of events.

A motorcade was held around the city to announce the start of Fire Prevention Month.

Firetrucks and other BFP equipment paraded on the streets announcing this year’s theme “Buhay at ari-arian ay pahalagahan, Ibayong pag-iingat sa sunog ay sa sariling pamamahay simulan.”

Mascots stood by at the entrance of the BFP office downtown to lighten the mood in the streets.

A blood letting activity was also held, a socio-civic component to yesterday’s program. (Remus Ong)
