A 41-year old man was arrested for collecting an entrance fee from all motorists entering the Masepla Transitory Site.

Police identified the suspect as Arnel Estrada y Bazan, married and a resident of Delo Pilar Estrada Drive, Mampang.

Estrada was arrested after allegedly collecting entrance fees at the transitory site in Mampang last Thursday.

The report said that Enzo Co y Lalay, a Quezon city based television network employee, filed a complaint against Estrada for allegedly collecting a P50 fee from him before entering the transitory site.

Co’s team wanted to enter the transitory site to distribute canned goods to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP.)

Acting on the complaint, Tetuan Police Station personnel led by Supt Nonito Asdai conducted a follow-up operation which led to the arrest of the suspect.

It was learned that Estrada had been collecting fees from all motorists who try to enter the transitory site.  (Dan Toribio)
