More than 20,000 children are expected to graduate from Grade 6 this year, according to records of the Department of Education (DEP-ED) Zamboanga City Schools Division.

Based on record, there are 19,667 students from public schools and 1,178 students from private schools who are expected to graduate from grade 6 for the 2016-2017 school year.

Thousands of students in grade ten are also expected to hold their moving up ceremony to grade eleven.

There will be 11,212 Grade 10 students from public schools and 1,861 students from private schools who are expected to participate in their moving up ceremony.

The graduation rites for grade 6 students is expected to be held on or before April 7 this year.

The graduation and moving up ceremonies will focus on the theme:   Sabay sabay na hakbang Tungo sa maunlad na kinabukasan.

The theme highlights the importance of concerted endeavors and collaborative efforts of stakeholders and learners in achieving the shared vision of quality, accessibel, relevant and liberating basic education for all. (RGAAGo)
