The Department of Energy has issued a memorandum to the Land Transportation Office to remind that there is no more deadline for public utility jeepneys to apply for  the Pantawid Pasada fuel subsidy card.

LTO Zamboanga City District Office Head Noel M. Noche said that he has received an instruction from LTO-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton last week to lift the  deadline  of applications of PUJs on Pantawid Pasada card.

Abaton asked all the LTO district offices in the region to conduct an information dissemination on this new development.

The Pantawid Pasada is a  program of President Pinoy Aquino  to provide fuel  assistance to PUJs, tricycles and  other public transport vehicles.

Meanwhile, Noche called on all owners of motorvehicles with plate number ending number 8 to renew now so that they will not jampack the LTO office in the last hour of renewing their certificates of registration.

Noche said if motorvehicle owners renew their certificate of registration early, it will be a smooth process without hurry or without paying the penalities and fines. — Allen Abastillas
