A woman is now in serious condition after she was hacked while waiting for a ride along the boulevard in Sinunuc yesterday morning.

Sinunuc Police Station Commander Chief Inspector Hingming Ladjaali identified the victim as Gladys Estrada y Roswina, 45 years old, married and a resident of Miramar Subdivision, barangay Sinunuc.

A police report disclosed that Estrada was waiting for a ride along the Sinunuc Boulevard at around 4:30am when two men appeared and allegedly hacked her.

The victim was spotted lying on the ground at around 6:30am by Sinunuc Barangay Kagawad Bello who immediately reported the incident to the police.

The victim, who was reportedly in serious condition after sustaining a hack wound on the head, was rushed to the hospital where she received medical treatment.

Police said that the victim’s wallet containing P3,500 in cash was missing and believed to have been taken by the suspects. (Dan Toribio)
