The Police Regional Office-9 has invited the religious and human rights sectors to join their campaign against illegal drugs.

Police Regional Office-9 Spokesperson Supt Rogelio Alabata said that they have invited these groups to join the barangay sector, another group invited by police in their anti drug campaign.

At present, only barangay officials, particularly members of the Barangay Anti- Drug Council (BADAC) and some members of the media join police operations conducted in the different barangays.

Since the resumption of Oplan Double Barrel Reload, police elements have already arrested at least 30 high value targets in the region, according to Alabata.

The distribution of high value drug target arrests are as follows:  12 in Zamboanga city, 3 in Zamboanga del Sur, 9 in Zamboanga del Norte, and 6 in Zamboanga Sibugay.

The assigned regional special operator groups are still conducting the operation in order to eradicate all drug trails and transportation of illegal drugs in Zamboanga city.  (Alinazar Lahid/ E-media)
