The Highway Patrol Group -9 is scouring the region for luxurious vehicles said to have been taken by the “Rent Tangay” syndicate.

Newly appointed Regional HPG-9 Chief Supt Joshua F. Alejandro personally conducted a command visit to the different provincial team units to check on the operation against “Rent Tangay.”

‘“Hahalughugin namin ng mga troopers ko itong Region 9 pati na ang Basilan, Sulu, Tawi Tawi para makuha namin yang mga ninakaw na luxurious cars, “ Alejandro said.

The HPG recovered a Toyota Innova unit which was reportedly abandoned by syndicate members in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Alejandro, a former Special Action Force Commander, also instructed the troopers to be extra vigilant and alert during anti-carnapping operations.

This, after receiving information that lawless groups and criminal elements are planning to ambush law enforcers.  (Allen Abastillas)
