San Roque tops list of barangays with Dengue PDF Print E-mail

Barangay San Roque topped the list of barangays with the most number of dengue cases, based on records of the City Health Office (CHO.)

Based on CHO data, San Roque has 31 dengue cases from January to the first week of March.

Barangays in the top five include Mercedes with 30 cases, Putik with 24 cases, Pasonanca, Talon Talon and Tetuan with 21 cases each and barangay Calarian with 19 cases.

Other barangays included in the list are Tumaga with 16 cases, Divisoria and Sta Maria with 15 cases respectively, Guiwan and Tugbungan with 13 cases each, Baliwasan and Mampang with 12 cases each and barangay Culianan with 11 cases.

In a recent press briefing, City Health Officer Dr Rodel Agbulos said that the number of dengue cases has gone down compared to the same period last year.

He nevertheless advised residents to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and good health practices to prevent the spread of the disease.  (Liza Jocson)
