2,000 drugs cases in 7 months PDF Print E-mail

The PNP Crime Laboratory in region 9 has recorded more than 2,000 cases of illegal drugs from July 2016 to February this year.

Based on PNP Crime Lab statistics, there are 2,452 cases of illegal drugs for the 7 month period alone.

Supt. Roderick Pausal, Crime Laboratory Chief, said that the cases were based on operations conducted by the different police stations in the region.

Meanwhile, more than 1,500 persons were tested for drug use by the office.

Pausal said that 1,653 persons were examined by his office for possible drug use.

Included in the testing are policemen, some of who have tested positive for illegal drug use.

Names of policemen who tested positive for drug use were forwarded to the Internal Affairs-9 office for proper disposition.  (Allen Abastilas)
