Operatives of the Sangali Police Station led by Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña arrested two suspected motorcycle thieves and recovered a stolen motorcycle during a police operation in Barangay Bolong yesterday afternoon.

Acuña identified those arrested as Ramir Isidro of Mercedes and Joel Fontillar of Talon-Talon.
A certain Richard also of Talon-Talon eluded arrest, Acuña said.

The Sangali police station chief disclosed that they have received an information on the presence of the three suspects in a house dismantling a 100cc Honda Wave motorcycle.

Acuña said he led his men to the place and when they arrived, the three scampered in different directions but Isidro was cornered by the police.
Acuña said his men recovered a .38 cal. revolver from the possession of Isidro who was taken to the Sangali Police Station for investigation while the recovered stolen motorcycle was turned over to the assigned investigator.

While Isidro was being interrogated by the police, Fontillar was arrested by another team of the Sangali Police Station who was hiding in a place in Bolong.
The motorcycle was reportedly stolen in Talon-Talon last Tuesday night.

Acuña said the two suspects will be taken to the City Prosecutor Office for inquest. — Dan Toribio Jr.
