Police confiscated seven sachets of suspected shabu from an alleged drug pusher in barangay Camino Nuevo yesterday morning.

Central Police Station Commander Supt Ariel Huesca identified the suspect as Omar Ali y Sahiddan, 45 years old, married and a resident of Calle Junk, Camino Nuevo.

Ali was arrested by men of the Central Police Station during a drug buy-bust operation at around 4:10 am yesterday.

Initial investigation showed that Ali was collared after he received the P300 marked money from a police poseur buyer in exchange for one sachet of shabu.

During a body search however, police recovered six more sachets of suspected shabu from the suspect’s possession.

Police said that the confiscated shabu has a street value of P3,500.

Ali was detained at the Central Police Station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

Police have readied charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 against the suspect.  (Dan Toribio)
