A second inspection under Oplan Galugad yielded no contraband from inmates at the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center.

The operation started at 4:30am and ended three hours later.

ZCRC Jail Warden J/Chief Inspector Ervin Diaz said that personal belongings belonging to inmates which were prohibited were the only ones confiscated by authorities.

This included items such as ball pens, nail cutters, nails, shavers, chargers, a toothbrush with a long handle and others.

Among teams that conducted the inspection are the Zamboanga City Police Office, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Bomb Squad and the Red Cross Medical Team.

Diaz said that the operation will be held from time to time to ensure that no prohibited items will be brought into the jail, especially prohibited drug.

Diaz said that they will also continue conducting strict inspection on food, clothing and other items brought by visitors for inmates.  (Dan Toribio)
