The Land Transportation and Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is urging public utility vehicle drivers who want to ply other routes this Holy Week to apply for a special trip permit.

Zerita Climaco, LTFRB Administrative Officer said that this is applicable to those who want to ply routes outside provinces where they normally operate and for Zamboanga city jeepneys who want to ply the Abong Abong route.

Those applying for a special permit to ply trips outside Region 9 must apply five days before the scheduled trips because the application will still be sent to the Manila office.

Those planning to ply the Abong Abong route must go to the LTFRB office before Holy Week.

The office will charge P350 for the special trip permit which will be in effect for a maximum of six days and three days for those operating outside the region.

Applicants must bring their valid franchise and Official receipt and Car Registration document.  (RGAAGo)
