The Protected Area Management Unit (PAMU) will formally launch the Sta. Cruz Island Summer Festival dubbed as Fiesta na Isla on Easter Sunday, April 16 with exciting activities lined up for the celebration.

The Festival will span 8 weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) starting April 16 through March 13.

The event will feature various competitions and games intended to attract visitors and for families to enjoy Sta. Cruz Island, named as one of the 21 best beaches in the world by the National Geographics because of its unique pink-white sands.

A video competition showcasing Sta. Cruz island its famous pink sand is open for all amateur and professional videographers.

The various on- and offsite games will include the human sand sculpture, the 3-on-3 boat racing, the island race and the mussel eating competition.

“Fiesta na Isla” will also feature the community members who will be showcasing their many talents. The festival was earlier set to start on April 8 but was deferred one week later due to some technical concerns.
