Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated 50 grams of suspected Shabu from an alleged pusher during a buy-bust operation in Veterans Avenue last Thursday.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio, CESE identified the suspect as Jamal Jamil Ambutong, 25, single of Rio Hondo.

Ambutong was nabbed around 11 a.m. after he received the marked money and handed the shabu items to the PDEA undercover agent.

PDEA agents recovered the marked money as well as the shabu items, a cell phone, a motorcycle with ignition key from the suspect during his arrest.

Ambutong was jailed at the PDEA headquarters while the seized items were turned over to the crime laboratory for examination.

Aspacio said that the confiscated items were estimated to be 50 grams with a market value of P90,000.

The suspect was charged for violation of section 5 of the Republic Act 9165.—Dan Toribio
