LTO launches Oplan Ligtas Byahe PDF Print E-mail

The Land Transportation Office-9 has launched the Oplan Ligtas Byahe Semana Santa in the different district offices over the weekend.

The program will be implemented from April 7 to 16 this year to safeguard passengers and motorists during the Holy Week.

LTO Regional Director Aminola P. Abaton , who also sits as Chairman of the Regional Management Council-9. said that the program involves a synchronized operation among traffic assistants in the region.

The program also includes the establishment of Passengers Assistance Help Desks in the different bus terminals, seaports and airports where people and passengers congregate during the four day holiday.

“Ang different district offices sa Region 9 ay may kana-kanya na ring mga operational plans sa Oplan Semana Santa at Ligtas Byahe,” said Abaton.

In Zamboanga, Abaton said that they will establish their own teams to monitor goings on at the Climaco Freedom Park in Abong Abong.

Among the members of the Regional Management Council-9 are the Philippine Ports Authority, Philippine Coast Guard, Maritime Industry Authority, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, National Telecommunications Office, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and LTO-9.
