A Filiipino vessel captain who was abducted in Celebes sea last December was executed by his Abu Sayyaf captors in Sulu last April 13.

Task Force Sulu Commander Brig Gen Cirilito Sobejana identified the victim as Noel Besconde, Captain of FB Ramona who was abducted along with three others in Celebes sea last December.

Besconde was beheaded by Abu Sayyaf Sub Leader Sawadjaan within the vicinity of Western Patikul Sulu last April 13.

Accordingly, the victim was very sick and was delaying the movement of his Abu Sayyaf captors in escaping government troops.

Sobejana said that they are exerting their best efforts in trying to retrieve the remains of the victim which was reportedly buried within the vicinity where he was beheaded.

Besconde was abducted along with Reyjim Rocabo, Marine Diesel Mechanic; and crew members Roy RAmos and Roel Liones. of Tukuran Zamboanga del Sur.

The FB Ramona is a service type vessel owned by Ramona Fishing Corporation.
