A P12-million worth Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) building is expected to be constructed this year in Zamboanga city.

At least two sites are being considered for the edifice:  Plaza del Pilar or the Sunken Garden.

The structure is a two-storey edifice envisioned to be a one stop shop for business registration and renewal.

The ground floor will be occupied by desks of offices such as the City Veterinarian, City Agriculture, City Tourism, City Administrator, Bureau of Fire Protection, City Treasurer, City Health, City Engineer, City Planning and other agencies involved in business and licensing.

The second floor will be occupied by the City Permits and Licensing Division office.

The City Engineer’s Office is currently conducting the plan for the new BOSS building.

Of the P12-million budget, P4-million will come from the city’s Annual budget while P8-million will be sourced from the Supplemental budget.

Benjie Barredo, City Permits and Licensing Division Chief, believes that the new building will help provide better services to business registrants and entrepreneurs. (RGAAGo)
