Nearly 2,000 tricycle units that have still not renewed their franchises as of last week are set to be the subject of a new campaign against colorum tricycles to be launched by the Tricycle Adjudication Board (TAB.)

Based on City Hall records, a total of 4,924 tricycles operators out of 6,587 have paid their franchises as of April 17.

Nearly 1,600 have not paid their franchises and could be the subject of the drive that will target tricycle operators who have not renewed nor paid their franchise taxes last January.

TAB officials are now calling on operators and drivers of registered tricycles to claim their stickers at the City Treasurer’s Office to prevent being apprehended once the drive against colorum motorized tricycles start.

These operators should bring their receipts to the Treasurer’s Office when claiming their stickers.  (LAJ)
