Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt Gen Carlito Galvez called on Sulu residents to help the miitary in arresting the suspects in the murder of SSgt Anni Siraji, the soldier who was abducted and later decapitated by the Abu Sayyaf.

Galvez appealed to residents to provide info that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.

“Information as to their identities and whereabouts must be reported to security forces,” Galvez said.

Galvez also condemned the brutal murder and the penchant of the Abu Sayyaf to murder its victims by decapitation.

“We warn all Suluanons to be wary of this Group.  If they can brutally murder a fellow Moro and a fellow Tausug, then no one is safe,” Galvez said in a statement.

“We call on peace-loving people of Sulu not to allow this senseless killing of one of your tribes mate and one of our fellow Filipino.  This has to stop.  The perpetrators have to be identified and arrested,” Galvez stressed. (Liza Jocson)
