One of two motorcyclists is now in critical condition after having been shot and seriously wounded in barangay Tugbungan at dawn yesterday.

The victims were identified as Paolo Perez y Pansiliao, 20 years old, and a resident of Tetuan and a certain Pao-Pao, a resident of Talon Talon.

Police identified Perez as having been involved in illegal drug activities and the theft of motorcycles within the area of Tetuan.

Perez sustained a bullet wound on the right leg and the right hip while Pao-Pao was shot in the neck.

Pao-Pao was reportedly in critical condition as of press time, police said.

Initial investigation showed that Pao-Pao was driving a motorcycle with Perez as back rider when two men riding tandem on another motorcycle opened fire at them.

The gunmen then escaped towards Barigon bridge in the same barangay.

Police recovered three bullets of a 9mm caliber inside the motorcycle’s Ubox. (Dan Toribio)
